LOS ANGELES - Today, Congressman Ted W. Lieu (D | Los Angeles County) shared the following information to help constituents deal with the effects of El Niño.

Large areas across California are at an increased risk for flooding from El Niño as a direct result of recent wildfires and years of drought. Large-scale wildfires can dramatically alter the landscape and ground conditions, which increase the risk of flooding within the burn and downstream areas.
