The Fiscal Year 2024 appropriations bill was signed into law by President Biden on Saturday, March 9, 2024. The new lab will develop and refine qubits, which are the quantum bits that power quantum computers. The creation of the lab will further research in the area to understand which qubit is the best choice for building a quantum computer.
