Washington (CNN)A bipartisan group of US lawmakers sent a letter Thursday to Attorney General William Barr and FBI Director Christopher Wray asking the Department of Justice to investigate allegations of war crimes against renegade Libyan Gen. Khalifa Haftar, who is also an American citizen.
WASHINGTON - Today, Congressman Ted W. Lieu (D-Los Angeles County) and Congressman Rick Allen (R-GA) introduced a resolution reaffirming the importance of the U.S.'s economic relationship with Israel. The resolution highlights the many ways U.S.-Israel economic cooperation has benefitted both countries, including encouraging technological innovation and scientific advancement.
Upon introduction, Rep. Lieu said:
WASHINGTON - Today, Congressman Ted W. Lieu (D-Los Angeles County) sent letters to Secretary of State Michael Pompeo and Acting Secretary of Defense Patrick M. Shanahan asking for answers on how much the U.S. is assisting the Saudi-led coalition in Yemen. While the Administration rightly halted refueling assistance in November 2018, it is unclear how much the U.S. continues to assist the coalition in conducting operations and what specific forms of assistance are being provided.
