REPS LIEU AND ALLEN INTRODUCE BIPARTISAN RESOLUTION IN SUPPORT OF U.S.-ISRAEL ECONOMIC RELATIONSHIP
WASHINGTON - Today, Congressman Ted W. Lieu (D-Los Angeles County) and Congressman Rick Allen (R-GA) introduced a resolution reaffirming the importance of the U.S.’s economic relationship with Israel. The resolution highlights the many ways U.S.-Israel economic cooperation has benefitted both countries, including encouraging technological innovation and scientific advancement.
Upon introduction, Rep. Lieu said:
“Israel is one of our strongest allies, largely because our shared values encourage democracy, openness and innovation. As a robust trade partner, Israel has supported American interests in a variety of fields such as cybersecurity, clean energy and agriculture. Through trade and knowledge-sharing, Israel has been a profoundly important relationship for the United States. I’m grateful to partner with Congressman Allen on this bipartisan resolution that demonstrates our commitment to continue to work with and support this thriving partnership.”
