LOS ANGELES – Today, California Aerospace Caucus Co-Chairs Congressman Ted W. Lieu (D-Los Angeles County) and Congressman Ken Calvert (R-CA) announced that the U.S. Space Force will establish Space Systems Command at the Los Angeles Air Force Base. The Secretary of the Air Force announced that LA AFB will now be home to the headquarters of Space Systems Command, which will be tasked with overseeing all efforts to develop, acquire, launch, and sustain military space systems. SSC is one of three major commands under the U.S. Space Force.

WASHINGTON - U.S. Representatives Ted Lieu (CA-33) and Ted Deutch (FL-22) led a letter to Secretary of State Antony Blinken laying out how the United States can continue to support a stable political transition in Libya amid the ongoing interagency review of U.S. policy towards Libya.

The letter was signed by House Foreign Affairs Committee Chair Gregory Meeks (NY-05), Rep. David Cicilline (RI-01), Rep. Karen Bass (CA-37), Rep. Bill Keating (MA-09), Rep. Dina Titus (NV-01), and Rep. Tom Malinowski (NJ-07).

Rep. Ted Lieu (D-Calif.) on Wednesday said declines in biodiversity are a global concern that can be addressed at various levels of government.

Speaking at The Hill's "The Loss of Nature: A Global Threat" event, Lieu said climate change has prompted an upheaval in biodiversity, with policies needed at the state, federal and international to address the problem.

Lieu has been one of the leaders of the effort in Congress to end U.S. involvement in the armed conflict in Yemen, which has killed thousands of Yemeni civilians, deepened human suffering in the country, and increased instability in the region.

WASHINGTON – U.S. Congressmen Ted Lieu (CA-33), David N. Cicilline (RI-01), and Jamie Raskin (MD-08) introduced an article of impeachment against President Donald Trump this morning. The impeachment resolution is sponsored by Cicilline, with Lieu and Raskin serving as the two lead co-sponsors. It is also co-sponsored by another 211 members of the U.S. House.

I was in my office on the fourth floor of the Cannon House Office Building on Wednesday when the Capitol Police entered around 1:15 to tell me and my chief of staff to evacuate immediately. The officers were running through each floor banging on office doors. They recommended that I remove the pin on my suit jacket that designates me as a member of Congress. We knew nothing as we raced down the stairs.

WASHINGTON - Today, Congressman Ted W. Lieu (D-Los Angeles County), along with Reps. Salud Carbajal (D-CA) and Jimmy Panetta (D-CA), urged the Department of Defense Acting Secretary to take measures to prevent the President from misusing or abusing his nuclear strike authority in the final days of his presidency.

In the letter, the Members write:
