Lieu (D-Los Angeles County) and Congresswoman Nancy Mace (R-SC) reintroduced the Ensuring National Constitutional Rights for Your Private Telecommunications (ENCRYPT) Act. The bill, which was reintroduced with Congresswoman Suzan DelBene (D-WA) and Congresswoman Anna Eshoo (D-CA), would preempt state and local government encryption laws to ensure a uniform, national policy for the interstate issue of encryption technology.

"I am alarmed by reports of Azerbaijan‘s military encroachment on Armenian territory in the region of Lake Sev. If the reports are true, Azerbaijan's operation would represent a violation of both Armenia‘s sovereignty and international law. I call on Azerbaijan to withdraw immediately and put an end to hostile actions that undermine the goal of peaceful dialogue and negotiation."

WASHINGTON - Today, Congressman Ted W. Lieu (D-Los Angeles County) issued the following statement praising President Joe Biden for officially recognizing the Armenian Genocide. The announcement comes on Armenian Genocide Remembrance Day, when the international community commemorates the victims of the Armenian Genocide, during which as many as 1.5 million Armenians were killed in massacres and deportation campaigns carried out by the Ottoman Empire during World War I.
