WASHINGTON – Today, Congressman Ted W. Lieu (D-Los Angeles County) announced the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) will grant $619,045 to the University of California (UCLA) for cancer detection and diagnosis research. Each year Congressman Lieu advocates for robust funding for cancer research throughout the federal appropriations process.
WASHINGTON – Today, Congressman Ted W. Lieu (D-Los Angeles County) issued the following statement after the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) granted the Los Angeles Continuum of Care (LA CoC) $60,000,000 to provide housing and supportive services to individuals experiencing homelessness throughout LA County. Throughout the FY2023 government appropriations process, Congressman Lieu advocated for ensuring Homelessness Assistance Grants such as this one were well-funded.
LOS ANGELES – Today, Congressman Ted W. Lieu (D-Los Angeles County) honored the life of Los Angeles County's famous mountain lion, P-22, and presented a $2.5 million check for the Wallis Annenberg Wildlife Crossing at P-22's Celebration of Life event.
