WASHINGTON – Today, Congressman Ted W. Lieu (D-Los Angeles County) issued the following statement after the House passed his amendment to the NDAA limiting Defense funds from being used at Trump-owned properties. The amendment would prevent the President from profiting off of American taxpayers by forcing government employees to stay at his properties and subsidize his businesses. The amendment enables funds to be used at Trump-owned properties if the President agrees to reimburse the Treasury Department for costs associated with his stay.

WASHINGTON – Today, Congressman Ted W. Lieu (D-Los Angeles County) introduced the "Therapeutic Fraud Prevention Act of 2019", which bans LGBTQ conversion therapy. Conversion therapy, which fraudulently seeks to change an individual's sexual orientation or gender identity, has been recognized by the national community of professionals in education, social work, health, and counseling as both dangerous and useless.
