WASHINGTON – Today, Congressman Ted W. Lieu (D-Los Angeles County) introduced the Glue Trap Prohibition Act, a bill to place a national ban on the possession and use of glue traps to catch rodents. Glue traps – boards coated with adhesive used to catch and kill pests – are among the cruelest ways to eliminate rodents. In their attempts to escape the glue, animals may tear off their skin, and some may even gnaw off their own limbs.

WASHINGTON – Today, Congressman Ted W. Lieu (D-Los Angeles County) led a letter with Congressman William R. Keating (D-MA) and Congressman Jared Golden (D-ME) urging the Biden-Harris Administration to provide Ukraine with the weapons it needs to win the war against Russia. In a letter to Secretary of State Antony Blinken and Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin, the Members urged officials to send Ukraine long-range tactical missiles systems to help Ukraine push back on Russian aggression and end the war.

Lieu (D-Los Angeles County), Zach Nunn (R-IA), Don Beyer (D-VA), and Marcus Molinaro (R-NY) introduced the Federal Artificial Intelligence Risk Management Act, a bipartisan and bicameral bill to require U.S. federal agencies and vendors to follow the AI risk management guidelines put forth by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST).
