Democrats in both chambers of Congress are calling for an investigation into the Navy's firing of an aircraft carrier commander who had pleaded for help with a coronavirus outbreak on his ship.
WASHINGTON - Today, Congressman Ted W. Lieu (D-Los Angeles County) and Congressman Ruben Gallego (D-AZ) called for an investigation into whether the Secretary of the Navy acted inappropriately by relieving an aircraft carrier Captain who expressed concern about coronavirus spreading among servicemembers in the Captain's charge.
