“Today marks two years since Hamas’ devastating terrorist attack on October 7, 2023 in Israel. It was a dark, evil day that amounted to the worst mass murder of Jews since the Holocaust. Two years later, dozens of families still agonize over whether and when their loved ones who are being held hostage will come home.

The bill passed the House 218-214 and will now be signed into law. In California, more than 2.3 million people will lose health insurance and 368,000 could lose access to food assistance because of this bill.
