TORRANCE, CA – The City of Torrance in partnership with Congressman Ted W. Lieu (D – Los Angeles County) and the Torrance Police Department hosted a press conference and ceremonial check presentation today recognizing $1,031,000 in federal funding secured for the City’s Public Safety Digital Infrastructure Expansion Project.
WASHINGTON – Last Thursday, Congressman Ted W. Lieu (D-Los Angeles County) hosted his congressional district’s twelfth-annual reception for the Congressional Art Competition at the Otis College of Art and Design.
Students from 16 different high schools submitted 135 pieces of art for this year’s competition. These submissions included 35 photographs, 38 paintings, 48 drawings, 9 mixed-media pieces, and 5 other pieces that included computer-generated art. The winner, Hugh Saetia from Mira Costa High School, submitted a piece called “Denial."

The goal of the funded project is to improve stormwater infrastructure in and around Rolling Hills Estates following years of unprecedented rainfall and flooding.
Heavy rains have created a heavy burden on Rolling Hills Estates' stormwater infrastructure, but $750,000 in federal funding should help improve that infrastructure.

WASHINGTON – Today, Congressman Ted W.
