WASHINGTON – Today, Congressman Ted W. Lieu (D-Los Angeles County) led a bipartisan group of Members in introducing the Russia is a State Sponsor of Terrorism Act. Rep. Lieu introduced the bill, which will deem Russia as a state sponsor of terrorism for invading and attacking Ukraine, with Reps. Joe Wilson (R-SC), Jared Golden (D-ME), Adam Kinzinger (R-IL) and Tom Malinowski (D-NJ).

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Yesterday, Reese's Law, bipartisan legislation to protect children from ingesting button cell batteries, passed the House. Reese's Law was introduced by Congressman Ted W. Lieu (D-Los Angeles County), Congresswoman Robin Kelly (D-IL) and Congressman Jodey Arrington (R-TX) and is named for Reese Hamsmith, an 18-month-old child who tragically passed away after ingesting a button cell battery.

WASHINGTON – Congressman Ted W. Lieu (D-Los Angeles County) and Congressman Adam Kinzinger (R-IL) are calling for the Department of Defense Inspector General to investigate whether U.S. Senate candidate Eric Greitens violated the Uniform Code of Military Justice in his recent political advertisement. The Members, who are both veterans, note that Mr. Greitens' advertisement promotes violence against political opponents, contains potential inaccuracies about Mr. Greitens' military service and falsely implies his candidacy was endorsed by the DoD.

Although none of the Justices Donald Trump nominated would explicitly answer the question of whether they'd overturn Roe v. Wade, and none explicitly promised not to do so, their confirmation hearings were characterized by a lot of assurances that Roe was ‘settled precedent.'

In a jointly signed letter, Democratic representatives Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Ted Lieu have formally asked the Senate to decide whether Supreme Court justices Neil Gorsuch and Brett Kavanaugh lied under oath during their confirmation hearings in 2017 and 2018, respectively.

The letter begins, "We are writing because the legitimacy of the Supreme Court of the United States is at stake."
