If he did so, he'd be following in the footsteps of Richard Nixon, who forced the resignation of both his attorney general and his deputy attorney general before he found a Justice Department lackey—Robert Bork—willing to fire special prosecutor Archibald Cox. Yet Nixon's power grab was constrained by a Democratic Congress. Trump has a Republican one.
Last spring, Dena Haritos Tsamitis left a work meeting to discover she was unable to get a signal on her cellphone. Even after rebooting the device, she couldn't get service, leaving her unable to contact her college student daughter, who usually communicated with her throughout the day.
"She was frantic, worrying about me, because she had tried to reach me several times," Tsamitis says she learned when she got home. "She said she called her friend to pick her up to look for me, because she was worried about me."

The Equal Rights Amendment (ERA) is a proposed amendment to the Constitution that was first introduced into Congress in 1923. It would establish equality between men and women.
And in 2017, almost 100 years later, it still hasn't become law. This means that according to US law, women do not have equal rights.
Rep. Ted Lieu (D-Calif.) used President Trump's "Made In America" campaign to knock the administration, wearing a lookalike of Trump's "Make America Great Again" hat, but with "Trump, Putin 2016" written on it.
Lieu debuted the hat on Twitter Tuesday, sharing a selfie of himself wearing the hat outside of congress.
"Wearing this special hat for White House Made in America week. Unlike the products of [Trump] and Ivanka Trump it's Made in America!" Lieu tweeted.

It's rare for a Democratic lawmaker to thank a Fox News host, but that's exactly what Rep. Ted Lieu (D-Calif.) did after Fox News anchor Shepard Smith ripped the Trump administration's handling of the investigations into Russian election meddling.
