WASHINGTON – U.S. Representatives Ted Lieu (D-Los Angeles County) and Bill Pascrell, Jr. (D-NJ) today introduced H.Res. 928, a Resolution of Inquiry directing the President and Attorney General to transmit to the House information on the President's use of the pardon power under Article II of the Constitution.
Upon introduction, Reps. Lieu and Pascrell issued the following joint statement:

Lieu (D-Los Angeles County), Congressman Mike Bishop (R-MI), Congresswoman Suzan DelBene (D-WA) and Congressman Jim Jordan (R-OH) reintroduced the Ensuring National Constitutional Rights for Your Private Telecommunications (ENCRYPT) Act. The legislation would preempt state and local government encryption laws to ensure a uniform, national policy for the interstate issue of encryption technology.
