Lieu and Senators Dianne Feinstein and Alex Padilla (all D-Calif.) introduced the Fighting Homelessness Through Services and Housing Act, a bill to increase federal resources to battle homelessness. The bill authorizes $1 billion in grants annually for the next five years for local governments to combat homelessness.

Lieu (D-Los Angeles County) issued the following statement after reintroducing the Stop Waste And Misuse by the President Act of 2021, otherwise known as the SWAMP Act. This legislation compels individuals who are authorized for protection by the United States Secret Service under 18 USC 3056, including former presidents, to reimburse the American taxpayer for federal funds spent during the course of their protection at commercial properties that the individual owns or has a financial interest in.
