LOS ANGELES - On Thursday, Congressman Ted W. Lieu (D-Los Angeles County) hosted California’s 33rd Congressional district’s fifth-annual Congressional App Challenge. This year’s reception was hosted virtually, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Sixteen students from ten high schools submitted eleven apps for this year’s competition.

WASHINGTON - Today, Congressman Ted W. Lieu (D-Los Angeles County) issued the following statement in response to an 11th Circuit Court decision to block certain laws banning LGBTQ+ conversion therapy. Rep. Lieu authored the first ban on youth conversion therapy in the nation as a California State Senator and has introduced federal bans in the 114th, 115th and 116th Congresses.

WASHINGTON - Today, Congressman Ted W. Lieu (D-Los Angeles County) issued the following statement after the Supreme Court declined to review a suit brought by Rep. Lieu and other elected officials seeking to address unlimited spending by Super PACs. In 2010, a D.C. Circuit court ruling enabled the unlimited Super PAC spending we see today and Rep. Lieu's lawsuit sought to remediate that decision.
