WASHINGTON – Today, Congressman Ted W. Lieu (D-Los Angeles County) and Congressman Eric Swalwell (D-CA), who sit on the House Judiciary Committee, urged the Department of Justice to investigate potential war crimes committed by Russian forces in Ukraine.

Lieu (D-Los Angeles County) and Congressman Tom Malinowski (D-NJ) led two separate letters to U.S. Ambassador to India Taranjit Singh Sandhu and U.S. Ambassador to Pakistan Dr. Asad Majeed Khan urging their governments to condemn Russia's ongoing invasion of Ukraine. The bipartisan letters are in response to both countries' abstention from the UN General Assembly's March 2nd vote, in which 141 countries voted to condemn Russia for its unprovoked and unjustified attack on the sovereign nation of Ukraine.
LOS ANGELES - Today, Congressman Ted W. Lieu (D-Los Angeles County) issued the following statement after the Space Development Agency (SDA) awarded Northrop Grumman Corporation in Redondo Beach a contract worth up to $692 million. The award will support the development and production of a constellation of 42 satellites to deliver quality high-volume data in support of U.S. military operations around the world.
WASHINGTON - Today, Congressman Ted W. Lieu (D-Los Angeles County) is urging the United Nations to address the human rights crisis in Egypt. In a letter, Rep. Lieu and other Members of the Egypt Human Rights Caucus are calling for the UN Human Rights Council to establish a monitoring and reporting mechanism on Egypt. The Members argue that the UN must do more to address what they view as the Egyptian government's systematic repression of dissent and civic discourse over the last decade.
