Washington – Today, Congressman Ted W. Lieu (D | Los Angeles County) issued the following statement regarding the U.S. missile strikes in Syria:
Rep. Ted Lieu (D-Calif.) said Thursday he has "low expectations" for President Trump's meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping this week, adding he hopes Trump does not "embarrass us."
"Let me first say that based on President Trump's past performance with world leaders, I have low expectations," Lieu said on MSNBC. "I just want the president to not embarrass us."

Washington – Today, Representative Ted W. Lieu (D|Los Angeles County) issued the following statement in light of Secretary of State Rex Tillerson's latest disturbing comments on the ongoing national security crisis surrounding North Korea.
President Trump has signed an executive order removing his chief political strategist, Steve Bannon, from a key national security post.
The move also restores the director of national intelligence, CIA director, and the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff to full participation on the National Security Council's principals committee, the panel that Bannon previously had a seat on.
