After proposing deep cuts to federal agencies tasked with fighting serious diseases, the Trump administration is preparing to ask Congress for approval to access monies to battle the Coronavirus.
The FBI's Director Christopher Wray said that Russian disinformation efforts continue heading into the 2020 elections.
"It never stopped," Wray told the House Judiciary Committee last week. "It happened in 2016, and it's been continuing ever since then. It may have an uptick during an election cycle, but it's a 24/7, 365 days a year threat."
Democratic Rep. David Cicilline of Rhode Island pressed Wray about the bureau's fight against malign foreign influence.

The FBI chief also told lawmakers during a House Judiciary Committee hearing that malicious foreign influence campaigns are now targeting more than just elections.

While many times the California Democrats unite on policy, several lawmakers from southern California voted against the measure, calling it a missed opportunity to include provisions on climate change.
Of the 41 lawmakers that voted against USMCA, 39 were Democrats, and of those, five were from California.
