REPS LIEU, COX, CISNEROS, AND LEVIN HELPED PASS 150+ BIPARTISAN INTO LAW

October 22, 2020

LOS ANGELES Democratic Policy and Communications Committee (DPCC) Co-Chair Ted Lieu (CA-33) joined Representatives T.J. Cox (CA-21), Gil Cisneros (CA-39) and Mike Levin (CA-49) today to highlight everything the Representatives have delivered for California during their first term in Congress. The Members have reached across the aisle to get more than 150 bipartisan bills signed into law.

This Congress: The House has passed more than 600 bills For The People. House Democrats have worked hard to reach across the aisle and get more than 150 bills signed into law. But more than 340 bipartisan bills are still awaiting action in the Senate.

"During their first two years in Congress, Representatives T.J. Cox, Gil Cisneros and Mike Levin have put the needs of Californians first," Rep. Lieu said. "It's been a privilege to work with them on a number of key initiatives, some of which include addressing food insecurity during the COVID-19 crisis; protecting veterans against harmful scams and disinformation campaigns; and providing food and housing relief to homeless veterans. These representatives have displayed a clear dedication to fighting on behalf of Californians and it is an honor to work alongside them."

"Since coming to Congress my goal has been to work with my colleagues on both sides of the aisle to enact change that matters for the Central Valley, and over the last two years we've done just that. I'm proud to join my colleagues from California to share with our constituents all the great work we've been doing for our state," said Rep. Cox.

"Since my first day in Congress, I have been fighting for the 39th District. From protecting healthcare, passing common-sense gun safety legislation, and supporting small businesses, workers, and families, I've been committed to addressing our community's needs and priorities," said Rep. Cisneros. "I'm proud of how transparent and accessible my office and I have been with 30 town halls, office hours, and community events. I look forward to building upon our progress, especially with keeping the 39th District safe and getting our economy back on track."

"Serving North County San Diego and South Orange County is an extraordinary honor, and I'm proud of the bipartisan work I've been able to accomplish on our local priorities," said Rep. Levin. "As the representative for Camp Pendleton and Chair of the House Veterans Affairs Subcommittee on Economic Opportunity, I'm particularly focused on supporting veterans who are struggling during this pandemic. I am proud to lead the DELIVER Act, which would get homeless veterans off of the street and help unemployed veterans get back to work. I've prioritized bipartisan legislation like this throughout my first term, and look forward to continuing this critically important work."
