REP LIEU STATEMENT OPPOSING BIDEN IMPEACHMENT INQUIRY

WASHINGTON - Today, Congressman Ted W. Lieu (D-Los Angeles County) issued the following statement after voting against opening a MAGA Republican-led impeachment inquiry.

“When I was an impeachment manager, we tried the case based on a mound of evidence in the form of transcripts, interviews and video footage. Repeatedly, Republicans have admitted they don’t have evidence for this impeachment, and are laying bare their unwillingness to actually govern. Instead of focusing on things that Democrats want to work on like tackling high costs for American families, Republicans would rather attack the President for loving his son. I voted no on this stupid impeachment inquiry because I’m sick of the Republicans wasting time and resources on cheap shots and political stunts.”
