REP LIEU HONORS NATION'S HEROES ON VETERANS DAY

November 11, 2022

WASHINGTON – Today, Congressman Ted W. Lieu (D | Los Angeles County) issued the following statement in commemoration of Veterans Day.

"On this Veterans Day, we honor the men and women in uniform who have served our country with courage and selflessness. It is because of their sacrifice that Americans can enjoy our unalienable rights to freedom, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. We owe those who have made the ultimate sacrifice a debt we can never fully repay. Let us recognize their valor and ensure that veterans returning home have access to the resources they need after their service. As an Air Force veteran myself, I will continue to make the needs of our service members a priority and work towards the day when no Veteran will ever be homeless. We have made incredible strides towards that goal here in Los Angeles County, and I look forward to continuing that fight on veterans' behalf in the next Congress.

"I am pleased to support a number of initiatives meant to benefit veterans and demonstrate our country's gratitude for their sacrifices. For example, today all veterans and Gold Star family members become eligible for free lifetime passes to our nation's National Parks. This initiative is just one small token of gratitude for those who have served our country. Thank you today and always to all who have served in our armed forces."
