Washington - Yesterday, Congressman Ted W. Lieu (D | Los Angeles County) was presented with the 2016 Freshman MVP Award for this year’s House Democrats’ Member Online All-Star Competition, the annual Member social media contest hosted by House Democratic Whip Steny Hoyer.

Congressman Lieu gained 4,185 new social media followers on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube in part by advocating for an end to the influence Super PACs have on elections, testifying against LGBT discrimination, calling for common sense gun legislation, and well-received questioning of FBI Director James Comey.
