CONGRESSMAN LIEU STATEMENT ON TODAY'S MEETING WITH HILLARY CLINTON

Los Angeles - Today, Congressman Ted W. Lieu (D | Los Angeles) issued the following statement after he and his fellow Executive Board Members of the Congressional Asian Pacific American Caucus (CAPAC) met with former U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton to discuss pressing domestic and foreign policy issues impacting the Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) community.

"I want to thank former U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton for meeting with CAPAC today. Hillary has always been a champion for all families. My fellow CAPAC members and I engaged in a robust discussion with Hillary and her staff on crucial issues ranging from immigration to veterans to higher education. I also greatly appreciate Hillary's attention to racial profiling and criminal justice reform, and was grateful to have the chance to discuss these vital issues with her. Finally, my CAPAC colleagues and I had the opportunity to hear about Hillary's vision to expand economic opportunity for all Americans. Hillary's vision for an American economy that works for all illuminates a fundamental truth: it is the middle class that drives our economy."
