"Today is a somber moment for America. Indicting a former President sets a terrible precedent; the only worse precedent is not indicting a former President who committed a crime.

WASHINGTON – Today, Congressman Ted W. Lieu (D-Los Angeles County) issued the following statement after the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) announced three new lease agreements for the development of 264 additional permanent supportive housing units for homeless veterans at the West LA VA campus. The new buildings are expected to open in 2024 and 2025, and will be “move-in” ready – equipped with furniture and access to amenities including a central community space, a fitness room, onsite management and case workers’ offices and more.

WASHINGTON - On Saturday, Congressman Ted W. Lieu (D-Los Angeles County) hosted his congressional district's ninth-annual reception for the Congressional Art Competition at the Otis College of Art and Design. Students from 16 different high schools submitted 206 pieces of art for this year's competition. These submissions included 70 photographs, 50 paintings, 41 drawings, 31 mixed-media pieces, and 13 other pieces that included computer-generated art. The winner, Mia Fienberg from Beverly Hills High School, submitted a piece called Contaminated.

WASHINGTON – Today, Congressman Ted W. Lieu (D-Los Angeles County) issued the following statement announcing that Venice Family Clinic, a leading community health center in Los Angeles, will receive a $3,748,135 grant through the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) for the Early Head Start Program. Early Head Start (EHS) programs provide child development and family support services to low-income families with infants and toddlers under the age of three, as well as pregnant women.
