The Hill: Dem: Disrespect for rule of law by Trump administration 'off the charts'

Democrat Rep. Ted Lieu (Calif.) ripped the Trump administration on Twitter Friday evening, saying that the disrespect for the rule of law in the White House was "off the charts."

Retweeting an article from The Hill about Trump's social media manager potentially violating the Hatch Act by calling for GOP voters to primary Rep. Justin Amash (R-Mich.), Lieu added a list of other administration officials.

"Trump, [Jeff] Sessions, [Michael] Flynn, [Jared] Kushner, Scavino, etc," Lieu tweeted. "The disrespect for the Rule of Law in the @realDonaldTrump Administration is off the charts."

Lieu has been a constant critic of the Trump administration, but especially on social media. In May, he trolled Trump son-in-law and adviser Kushner about his alleged ties to Russia, joking "Siberia, Russia has lovely weather this time of the year. You can backpack and back-channel all you want."

Last week, he mocked Trump over his one-on-one conversation with fired FBI Director James Comey, in which he reportedly told Comey he "hoped" he would drop his investigation into Flynn.

"After watching Comey, I told staff to leave my office except for my [chief of staff]. I looked him in the eye & said I ‘hope' you retweet this," Lieu said on Twitter.
