Washington - Today, Congressman Ted W. Lieu (D | Los Angeles County) helped introduce the National Commission on Security and Technology Challenges.  This legislation would create a digital security commission to discuss and recommend proposals on how law enforcement approach investigations without undermining constitutional privacy protections or American competitiveness.

One of the leading voices of cybersecurity on Capitol Hill, Rep. Will Hurd (R-Texas) said he is concerned that FBI officials have not provided clarity on what exactly they need from Apple when it comes to the evolving debate of getting into the San Bernardino, Calif., shooter's iPhone.

“Today, I voted against the so-called ‘Sportsmen’s Heritage and Recreation Enhancement (SHARE) Act.’  Unfortunately, the bill passed the House of Representatives by a vote of 242 to 161, despite strong opposition from President Obama and dozens of environmental and animal welfare organizations.
